Asokamālāka

One of the spots in the Mahāsāgara garden, north of the Nāgamālaka, where the Kassapa Buddha taught the assembled populace on his visit to Sri Lanka. Four thousand people were converted. (Mhv xv 153f )

Later King Asoka erected a cetiya there. (MT 253)
