Bhūta Sutta
The Buddha ask Sāriputta about the detailed meaning of the seventh verse of the Questions of Ajita from the Parāyana of the Suttanipāta,
“There are those who have mastered the teaching, trainees, and ordinary people too. How should they live and work?”
However, he is unable to reply.¹ The Buddha then asks him, “Do you see how this (body and mind) has come to be?”
Sāriputta is then able to explain that the five aggregates come to be conditioned by nutriment, and that one should practice for its fading away and cessation. S.ii.47.
¹ Because there are many different ways to answer the question. When the Buddha gives him a hint then he replies in terms of the five aggregates.
