Name of a constellation and also of a month (October to November), during which the full-moon is near the constellation of Pleiades.

It is the last month of the rainy season (See, e.g., Netti.143. For details see the Pali Text Society Dictionary. s.v. Kattikā)

The full-moon day of the month was observed as a festival and great rejoicings were held, particularly at night, e.g., J.i.433; 499, 508.
