1. Mūsila (v.l. Musīla, Musila).– Devadatta born as the chief musician of Ujjeni. For his story see the Guttila Jātaka.
2. Mūsila Thera.– A monk. A conversation is recorded in the Saṃyuttanikāya (S.ii.115 f ) between him and Paviṭṭha (v.l. Saviṭṭha), which is said to have taken place in Ghositārāma in Kosambī, regarding the Law of Dependent Origination (paṭiccasamuppāda).
