Paribbājaka Sutta

1. Paribbājaka Sutta.– A Brahmin wanderer (paribbājaka) asks the Buddha how far the Dhamma is visible for oneself (sandiṭṭhiko), of immediate fruit (akāliko), inviting investigation (ehipassiko), leading onwards (opanayiko), and realisable by the wise (paccattaṃ veditabbo viññūhi). The Buddha explains. A.i.157 f.

2. Paribbājaka Sutta.– The Buddha visits the Paribbājakārāma on the banks of the Sappinīkā and converses with a number of distinguished wanderers — Annabhāra, Varadhara, Sakuludāyi and others. The Buddha tells them that there are four factors of Dhamma that no discerning recluse or brahmin can despise — not-coveting, non-malice, right mindfulness, and right concentration. A.ii.31 f.
