A man of Pāṭaliputta, having gone to Suvaṇṇabhūmi for trade, fell in love with a woman there, and was born after death as a vimāna peta on an island.
After some time, the woman passed the island in a ship, and he managed to stop the vessel and to get her marooned. He lived with her for a year, and then, at her request, took her back to Pāṭaliputta. Pv.iv.11; PVA.271 f.
