Samiddha

1. Samiddha.– King of Sri Lanka (Varadīpa) in the time of Koṇāgamana Buddha. His capital was Vaḍḍhamāna. Mhv.xv.117; Dpv.xv.48; xvii.7; Sp.i.86.

2. Samiddha.– Brother of Jayanta, king of Sri Lanka (Maṇḍadīpa). It was war between the brothers that brought Kassapa Buddha to Sri Lanka. MT. 356.
