King of Sri Lanka (187‑177 B.C.). He was the younger brother and successor of Mahāsiva. He built five hundred vihāras, including the Nagarangana, Hatthikkhandha, Gonnagirika, Pācīnapabbata, Kolambahālaka, Makulaka, Acchagallaka and Girinelavāhanaka. He died at the age of sixty, after being conquered by the Damiḷā Sena and Guttika. He was called Suvaṇṇapiṇḍatissa before his accession. Mhv.xxi.3 ff; Dpv.xviii.46 f; see also Acchagallika.
