3. Sambala.– One of the monks who accompanied Mahinda to Sri Lanka (Mhv.xii.7; Dpv.xii.12, 38; Sp.i.62). Sirimeghavaṇṇa had an image made of him for purposes of worship. Cv.xxxvii.87.
