Rādha asks the Buddha what is meant by a living-
The Buddha explains that one who is firmly stuck in desire, lust, delight, and craving for forms … feeling … perception … mental formations … consciousness is therefore called a living-
It is like children playing with sand castles, who delight in them, treasure them, and are protective towards them, but when they lose interest in them, they demolish and scatter them. Therefore, Rādha, demolish and scatter form … feeling … perception … mental formations … consciousness.
Practise for the destruction of craving, which is nibbāna. S.iii.189.
