Suttaniddesa

Also called the Kaccāyana-Suttaniddesa

A grammatical treatise, explaining the suttas (aphorisms) of Kaccāyana’s grammar. It is generally ascribed to Kaccāyana himself, but sometimes Chapaṭa (s.v. Saddhammajotipāla) is mentioned as the author and it is said that he wrote it at Arimaddana (Pagan) at the request of his pupil, Dhammacāri. Sās.74; Gv.64, 74; Svd.vs.1247 f.
